About the author

As tempting it is to tell something personal about myself, this is going to have be an anonymous affair for a number of reasons.

I have a wonderful partner whom I love dearly. I would never want to hurt him by writing bad things about him where anyone can read them and recognise me and/or him. We all have our dark moments and dark thoughts, and I want to be able to analyse and pronounce mine here, in able to understand myself and my relunctance look after myself better.

I live in the UK, but English is not my first language, so please cut me some slack. I am passionate about words and would like to write clean and correct English, but I have my limits.

I believe in:

passion, intelligence, love, gentleness, play, relaxing, patience, effortless beauty, honesty at all costs, keeping your mind fresh, appreciating cultural diversity, speaking one’s mind and thinking before you speak.

I like and appreciate:

reading books, friends, photography, new music, water in all of its forms, winter, computers, secondhand things, bags, recycling, camping, quizzes, boardgames, knitting and other crafts, good quality make-up, ethical consuming, environmentally friendly things, breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, dinner parties, sushi, taking off your shoes inside the house and hanging your towel to dry after the shower.

I dislike or am suspicious about:

big dogs, all dogs running without a leash, old cats, animals in general, Gina Ford, old people, parents who don’t listen, 4×4’s, pre-packed meals, fast-food chains, the conservatives, baby purees, follow-on milk, health visitors, secretarianism, violence in its all forms, Delta Airlines, Starbucks, conglomerate publishing houses, Wal-Mart, Johnson’s baby products, any kind of addicts and people who pretend to think that they are better than someone else.

I might post an old picture as a goal, and maybe even a recent picture for comparison.
